High cube containers are similar in structure to standard containers, 20 foot high cube shipping container but taller.
Instead of the usual maximum height of 2591mm (8’6″), high cube containers are 2896mm, or 9’6″, tall.
A number of lashing rings – load rated to about 1000kg – are mounted on the front top end rail and bottom cross member and corner posts.
Many 40′ containers have recesses that allow the containers to lie lower and therefore to be of taller construction and still fit modular storage profiles.
High-cube containers are used for all types of general dry cargo up to a maximum of 2.70m tall.
